Expecting Mothers
Pregnancy is a time of remarkable change — and those changes can place real stress on your body. Shifts in posture, weight distribution, and center of gravity, combined with increased ligament laxity from hormonal changes, can lead to low back pain, hip discomfort, pelvic pressure, and sciatica-like symptoms that many expecting mothers experience.
Chiropractic care during pregnancy is adapted to your comfort level, stage of pregnancy, and health history. We use pregnancy-friendly positioning, supportive pillows, and modified techniques that avoid placing pressure on the abdomen. The doctor will work gently and check in with you throughout the visit to make sure you are comfortable.
Your first visit will include a review of your health history, how far along you are, and the symptoms you are experiencing. The doctor will perform a gentle evaluation and discuss whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for you. If you move forward with care, sessions are designed to be comfortable and unhurried — we go at your pace.
Chiropractic care does not replace your OB/GYN or midwife. We encourage all pregnant patients to maintain regular prenatal care and to communicate openly with their medical team. If you have questions about whether chiropractic care is appropriate for your pregnancy, we recommend discussing it with your OB/GYN as well.
Care recommendations are based on your individual symptoms, exam findings, comfort level, and stage of pregnancy. Results vary by patient.
Chiropractic care can be appropriate for many pregnant patients when performed by a chiropractor experienced in pregnancy care. Techniques and positioning are modified throughout pregnancy to keep you comfortable and safe. As with any care during pregnancy, we recommend communicating with your OB/GYN, and we are happy to coordinate with your medical team when needed.
Pregnancy brings significant changes to your body — including shifts in posture, weight distribution, and center of gravity, as well as increased ligament laxity from hormonal changes. These changes can place extra stress on the low back, pelvis, hips, and surrounding muscles, leading to discomfort that many expecting mothers experience.
Your visit will begin with a health history review, including how far along you are and any symptoms you are experiencing. The doctor will perform a gentle evaluation and, if appropriate, use pregnancy-friendly positioning, pillows, and modified techniques to provide a comfortable adjustment. We work at your pace and adjust the approach based on your comfort level, stage of pregnancy, and health history.
Some pregnant patients experience shooting or radiating pain down the leg that can feel similar to sciatica. This may be related to changes in pelvic alignment, increased pressure on surrounding nerves, or muscle tension. Chiropractic evaluation may help identify contributing factors, and gentle care may support comfort and function. The doctor will determine what is appropriate based on your specific situation.
No. Chiropractic care is a complement to — not a replacement for — your prenatal medical care. We encourage all pregnant patients to maintain regular visits with their OB/GYN or midwife and to communicate openly with all members of their care team.

Pediatric chiropractic care is not the same as adult care. Every aspect of the visit — from the evaluation to the techniques used — is adapted to the child's age, size, comfort level, and individual needs. We take a conservative, gentle approach and never proceed without the full understanding and consent of the parent or guardian.
Pediatric chiropractic care involves a gentle evaluation of the child's posture, movement, muscle tension, and spinal and joint motion. If care is appropriate, the doctor uses age-appropriate, low-force techniques — often no more than gentle fingertip pressure for younger children. The goal is to support healthy movement and function in a way that is comfortable and appropriate for the child.
The first visit begins with a thorough health history review with the parent or guardian. The doctor will then perform a gentle physical evaluation of the child. We explain everything we are doing, answer your questions, and make sure both you and your child feel comfortable before any treatment is discussed. No treatment is performed without your full consent.
Chiropractic care does not replace your child's relationship with their pediatrician or medical doctor. For fever, illness, trauma, unexplained symptoms, neurological concerns, severe pain, or any urgent health issue, please seek medical or emergency care first. We are here to complement your child's overall health care — not to replace it.
Treatment recommendations are based on the child's health history, exam findings, and individual needs. Care is always conservative and age-appropriate.
When to Seek Medical or Emergency Care First
Please seek medical or emergency care for your child if they have fever, illness, trauma, unexplained symptoms, neurological symptoms, severe pain, difficulty breathing, or any urgent health concern. Chiropractic care is not appropriate as a first response to these situations.
Yes. Pediatric chiropractic care is significantly different from adult care. Techniques are modified based on the child's age, size, comfort level, and needs. The amount of force used for a young child is very light — often no more than gentle fingertip pressure. We take our time, explain what we are doing, and never proceed without the child and parent feeling comfortable.
The first visit includes a thorough health history review with the parent or guardian, followed by a gentle physical evaluation of the child's posture, movement, muscle tension, and spinal and joint motion. No treatment is performed without your full understanding and consent. We will explain our findings and discuss whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for your child.
Parents bring children in for a variety of reasons, including sports-related aches and discomfort, posture concerns, activity-related stiffness, muscle tension, mobility questions, and general wellness check-ins. Each child is evaluated individually, and care recommendations are based on their specific history, exam findings, and needs.
No. Chiropractic care complements — but does not replace — your child's relationship with their pediatrician or medical doctor. For fever, illness, trauma, unexplained symptoms, neurological concerns, severe pain, or any urgent health issue, please seek medical or emergency care first.
No. Pediatric adjustments are adapted to the child's age, size, and needs. The techniques used for children are much gentler than those used for adults, and the doctor will choose the approach that is most appropriate and comfortable for your child.
